Redo Pricing: Plans, Add-Ons & Costs in 2026

Understand Redo’s free returns plan, paid add-ons and shopper coverage. Compare published rates and model monthly costs at three order volumes.

Merchant pricing guide · Updated 29 September 2026

When you’re choosing a returns platform, you’re really looking for one number: what you’ll be billed each month.

Redo’s pricing starts with free returns software for merchants. Beyond that, your spend depends on the products you enable, their billing units and the coverage your shoppers buy. This guide brings the published rates together, explains what needs a quote and models a practical combination of add-ons at different order volumes.

Redo pricing at a glance

Free returns

Basic returns software is listed as free for merchants.

Paid add-ons

Extra products have their own usage-based or quoted rates.

Shopper cover

Optional coverage is paid by shoppers, separately from your bill.

Is Redo actually free?

Redo’s basic returns software is free for merchants. Its published pricing also lists claims, shipping and fulfilment, warranties and Reclaim chargeback representment as free. That does not mean every product in the wider platform has the same price.

Checkout optimisation, tracking, support and marketing have their own rates. Some AI products need a custom quote. Start by listing the features you actually need, then attach a billing unit to each one.

Shoppers can also purchase return coverage at checkout. Redo’s coverage documentation explains that the price depends on average return rates and label costs. The coverage settings determine which outcomes are included.

Shopper-funded coverage is a legitimate funding model. Refundid offers it too through Checkout+. The useful comparison is what each party pays, what the cover includes and how clearly it is explained at checkout.

Redo’s published rates, in one place

These rates were checked against Redo’s pricing page and Shopify App Store listing in September 2026. The Shopify listing states that charges are billed in USD. Confirm the currency and applicable rate card in your own quote, particularly if you bank in AUD.

The pricing page and Shopify listing differ

Redo’s Shopify App Store listing shows checkout optimisation at $10 per month plus $0.50 per order, with order upsell at $0.06 per order. It also lists fulfilment at $99 per month.

The same listing shows email and SMS at $10 per month, with email at $2 per 1,000 sends and SMS starting at $0.016 per send. Do not assume the combined marketing headline on Redo’s website is the SMS rate.

Different sales channels can have different plans. Neither page alone establishes your contract. Ask which rate card applies, which products are included and whether any negotiated terms override it.

Metered extras need a forecast

An order-based fee follows sales volume. A resolution-based fee follows support activity. Revenue share follows recovered revenue. Those costs respond to different events, so “per order” is not a useful description of every add-on.

Also ask what counts as a billable event. Are cancelled orders included? How is a resolved conversation counted? Are there minimums, discounts or caps? A clear definition makes your forecast easier to reconcile with the invoice.

What could Redo cost each month?

The example below uses checkout optimisation and tracking on every order, plus support resolutions equal to 10% of orders. It uses Redo’s website rates, not its Shopify rate card. These are illustrative calculations, not quotes.

Illustrative merchant spend in USD
Monthly line item500 orders2,000 orders10,000 orders
Basic returns software$0$0$0
Checkout optimisation · $0.40/order$200$800$4,000
Tracking · $0.08/order$40$160$800
Support · $0.20/resolution$10$40$200
Selected add-ons total$250$1,000$5,000
Cost per order$0.50$0.50$0.50

Calculation: orders × ($0.40 + $0.08) + orders × 10% × $0.20. Excludes other modules, shipping labels, taxes, currency conversion and any account-specific charges or discounts. This is not the price of the entire Redo platform.

Under these assumptions, the cost per order stays constant as volume grows. Your total rises because you use more of the selected services. If you only need the free returns product, this add-on forecast does not apply.

Model shopper-paid coverage separately

Use the $2.98 example in Redo’s coverage walkthrough and an assumed 40% opt-in rate. The resulting shopper payments would be $596 at 500 orders, $2,384 at 2,000 orders and $11,920 at 10,000 orders.

Those are hypothetical coverage collections, not additional merchant software invoices or a measure of Redo’s profit. Actual prices, opt-in rates, covered costs and settlement arrangements vary. Keep the two cash flows separate when comparing platforms.

Build your forecast around your actual usage.
Order volume, tracked orders, support resolutions and coverage take-up each deserve their own assumption.

Use your recent trading history and a peak-season scenario. That is the same discipline behind a returns workflow that protects margin.

Check what return coverage actually includes

Coverage does not automatically mean every return outcome is free. Redo’s coverage settings let merchants select exchanges, store credit and refunds. Its walkthrough recommends exchanges and store credit as a way to retain revenue.

Before launch, test a covered exchange, a covered store-credit return and a cash refund. Check the label charge in each flow. Your checkout wording should match what happens when the shopper returns an item.

Review eligibility exclusions too, including clearance and final-sale products. A shopper should be able to understand what they bought without needing a support conversation.

Read reviews alongside the settings

The Shopify listing showed a 4.9 rating across 786 reviews when checked on 29 September 2026. That is a useful positive signal, but a rating cannot tell you which configuration or commercial terms are right for your store.

Use a demo to walk through your real edge cases: damaged goods, an incorrect item, an exchange that is out of stock and a shopper who declines coverage. Confirm who pays in each case and what your support team can change.

How Refundid compares on price

Compare equivalent services and separate software from shipping and optional cover. A broader post-purchase bundle and a returns subscription do not necessarily replace the same tools.

Compare the same billing currency, taxes and service scope before drawing a cost conclusion. Refundid’s displayed dollar price should be confirmed for your market.

Refundid’s pricing states there is no lock-in or setup fee. Return labels, applicable payment-processing costs and taxes are separate. Instant refunds and instant exchanges are excluded from the platform subscription and should be discussed with the team.

Refundid also explains how Refundid makes money. For the wider feature comparison, see Refundid vs Redo, or explore Redo alternatives for ecommerce returns.

What to ask before signing

  1. Which rate card applies? Get the selected products and their billing units in writing.
  2. What will shoppers pay? Confirm the coverage price, eligibility, opt-in presentation and settlement arrangements.
  3. Which outcomes are covered? Test refunds, store credit and exchanges separately.
  4. What requires a quote? Include AI products and any services absent from the public rate card.
  5. What are the contract terms? Ask about minimums, exit notice, price changes and data export.
  6. Does it fit your market? Confirm currencies, local carriers, integrations and support hours for your store.

Redo can suit merchants who want free basic returns software and are comfortable budgeting separately for paid services. If predictable platform spend matters more, compare a subscription against the precise modules you need. Neither model is automatically cheaper for every business.

Redo pricing FAQs

How do Redo returns work?

Merchants configure a returns portal and their return rules. Shoppers follow that store’s flow to request an eligible refund, exchange or store credit. Coverage depends on the merchant’s selected settings, so check the store’s policy.

How much does it cost to return an order with Redo?

There is no universal shopper price. Coverage pricing and eligible outcomes vary. The coverage walkthrough shows a $2.98 example, not a guaranteed price for every store. Check your receipt and the retailer’s return policy.

Does Redo charge merchants a monthly fee?

Its basic returns product is listed as free. Other products can have usage charges or monthly fees, and the website and Shopify listing differ. Confirm your selected plan rather than treating “free” as a price for the whole platform.

Is per-order pricing better than a flat monthly fee?

It depends on volume and service scope. Usage pricing moves with activity; a subscription can make platform spend easier to forecast within its agreed tier. Compare shipping, coverage and optional services separately.

Can Australian merchants use a US returns platform?

Check the integration, billing currency, local carrier support and service hours for your specific store. USD billing can introduce exchange-rate variation. Ask for a demonstration of your actual Australian return flow before committing.

How do returns platforms make money?

Common models include subscriptions, usage charges and shopper-funded coverage. A platform may combine them. Refundid offers shopper-funded cover through Checkout+ and explains its model in how Refundid makes money.

Sources and method. We reviewed Redo’s public pricing page, its Shopify App Store listing and its Coverage Tab Overview help article on 29 September 2026. Refundid figures come from our published pricing page. The monthly examples apply the stated rates to assumed usage; they are not customer invoices.
