OnePass 365-day returns: which stores take part and what's excluded

How OnePass 365-day change of mind returns work at Kmart, Target, Officeworks and Priceline, why Bunnings isn't included, and the restrictions on year-long returns.

Key takeaways

  • OnePass 365-day change of mind returns apply at Kmart, Target, Officeworks and Priceline. Bunnings isn't included.
  • After the standard window, Kmart and Target give an exchange voucher or Returns Card, not a refund, and both exclude Christmas and other event products.
  • You need to be an active member when you return the item, and returns have to be made in store.

OnePass, the membership program from the group that owns Kmart, Target, Bunnings, Officeworks and Priceline, advertises 365-day change of mind returns as one of its benefits. A year to change your mind sounds simple, but each store applies it differently. This guide sets out the rules each store publishes, as at 23 October 2026.

Which stores give OnePass members 365-day returns?

The OnePass benefit page lists four stores: Kmart, Target, Officeworks and Priceline. Bunnings is a OnePass partner but isn't part of the 365-day returns benefit. The OnePass terms, last updated 18 August 2026, say an alternative returns offer is available to all customers at Bunnings instead. That's Bunnings' standard policy, which doesn't set a time limit for change of mind returns. A few OnePass and Bunnings pages still show 365-day returns next to Bunnings, but the terms are what count.

Catch used to be part of OnePass too, but it stopped trading on 30 April 2025.

The rules that apply everywhere

  • You have to be an active OnePass member when you return the item, not just when you bought it. Cancel your membership and the extended window goes with it.
  • Show your membership on your phone, in the OnePass app or by logging in at onepass.com.au.
  • Return in store, to the brand you bought from. That includes online purchases.
  • The item still has to meet the store's normal change of mind conditions: unused, clean, with its original packaging and tags, and not on the store's exclusions list.
  • You need proof of purchase. Retailers can exclude gift cards and some marketplace items.

Kmart's OnePass page puts the price at $4 a month or $40 a year, and there's a free trial.

Kmart and Target: vouchers after day 60

Kmart and Target both give 60 days for change of mind, or 365 days for OnePass members, and both count free trial members. The difference is what you get back. From day 61 to day 365, Kmart gives you an exchange voucher and Target gives you a Target Returns Card, not a refund to your card.

Both also exclude event products after day 60. That means Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Mother's Day and Father's Day stock, so the Christmas decorations you bought in November can't go back in March. At Kmart, Marketplace items only get the 365-day window if the seller has opted in. Target's benefit applies to purchases from 4 September 2023, and if you shop online and don't live near a Target store, the standard 60-day policy applies.

Officeworks: no tech

Officeworks gives OnePass members 365 days, including its standard 30. It offers a refund or exchange, which is better than a voucher, but it excludes technology products and perishables such as ink cartridges, on top of everything already excluded from its 30-day policy. The 365-day return has to be made in store with your receipt and your active membership. It can't be done through the call centre or the online returns form, and business account and marketplace purchases don't qualify. See our Officeworks returns guide for more.

Priceline: refunds, with conditions

Like Officeworks, Priceline gives you a refund rather than a voucher after its standard 30-day window. From day 31 to day 365 you get a refund, but only if you're a paid OnePass member with your Pulse Rewards account linked, for purchases from 19 March 2024. The product and its packaging have to be unopened, and Priceline's usual exclusions apply, including medicines, vitamins, baby formula, food, gift cards and products within three months of expiry.

Priceline's own policy says you need a paid membership, while the OnePass partner page says benefits apply to free trial members too. If you're on a trial, check with Priceline before relying on it.

Is a year-long returns window worth relying on?

For everyday homewares, clothes and office supplies, the extended window is useful, as long as you keep the packaging and the item stays unused. It's weaker for anything seasonal, anything you might want a refund rather than credit for, and anything electronic. And it only covers change of mind. If something is faulty, you don't need OnePass at all: the consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law apply at every store, for as long as is reasonable for that product. Our guide to faulty vs change of mind returns explains how that works.

What are the restrictions on OnePass year-long returns?

You need to be an active OnePass member when you return the item, show your membership in the app, and return it in store. Officeworks excludes technology and perishables like ink.

No. The OnePass terms say an alternative returns offer is available to all customers at Bunnings instead. Bunnings' standard policy doesn't set a time limit for change of mind returns.
